Swimsuits by Guillermina Baeza and Mysulafish
Mysulafish has been in the slow fashion sector for 10 years, headed by Paloma de la Riva , and is consolidating its position in the manufacture of both wool and knit garments, as well as clothing.
Our Spanish-made brand is known for creating timeless, highly versatile, and comfortable garments. But there was still one area we hadn't explored: swimwear .
This is how La Plea came about: Guillermina Baeza x Mysulafish swimsuits
Designing a swimwear collection has been a goal we've set for ourselves for several seasons, but it always remained just an idea, since our workshops, which specialize in making other garments and fabrics, did not have the necessary experience.
We were clear that entering this world had to be something we did hand in hand with the best bathroom brand nationwide.
And so it was: we were fortunate enough to contact Belén Larruy, the daughter of Guillermina Baeza , who is currently in charge of the brand, and who always did everything she could to produce this collection.
La Plea (a name we chose years ago) is a limited summer line produced entirely by Guillermina Baeza , her pattern makers, and her workshops, using her exquisite fabrics. A dream come true thanks to the best collaborators.
The inspiration for this collection was clear: endless summers by the sea, from sunrise to sunset. The colors and textures of the fabrics, and even the subtle shimmer of the Lurex garments, all contributed to this feeling.
Everything is inspired by the colors and landscapes of a wonderful summer beach day.
These are summers full of plans and activities in which no woman wants to give up comfort, but also wants to feel tremendously flattered.
With the La Plea collection, we have fulfilled a dream that we had cherished for years, and which has finally come to fruition.
A collection created with the utmost attention to detail in its fabrics.
If there is one thing that characterizes Guillermina Baeza's swimsuits, besides their spectacular designs, it is the quality of their fabrics and the care put into their production.
And that's why for our La Plea collection we chose this brand to launch our first bathroom line.
In this collaboration with Mysulafish, we have worked with a textured lycra quality that you want to touch, because it feels velvety, along with a quick-drying technology so that nothing prevents you from continuing to enjoy the best moments after getting out of the water.
Thanks to this type of Lycra fabric, swimsuits become very light and comfortable garments , perfectly fitting every body type.
The chosen pattern means that, especially in swimsuits, the lower part is better gathered, slimming the figure and resulting in a very flattering look.
Furthermore, in some of the models, such as the Sorrento Swimsuit or the Amalfi Indigo Bikini , we wanted to go a step further, and in the fabrics we have also included a beautiful, discreet, and understated Lurex fabric that gives an unparalleled and beautiful light to the garment.
Versatile styles for any occasion
At Mysulafish, we believe in the slow philosophy and in using the same garment in different ways to reduce the fast consumption that sometimes occurs in fashion, and to maintain a sustainability that benefits the environment.
That's why, in this bathroom collection with Guillermina Baeza, we wanted to follow the same line of our philosophy.
We have put Mysulafish's vision into creating a collection that is not just for the beach , but for many different moments and times of the year.
Our swimsuits and bikinis have been designed so that they can be worn alone, but can also be combined with a sarong, skirt, trousers, or an open linen shirt, allowing great versatility for different occasions.
Hence the idea that the colors of this line are minimalist, in shades of black , white , olive or terracotta , so that the swimsuits and bikinis can be easily combined with other garments and shades, worn alone on a July morning at the beach, or even on a cooler late summer afternoon with your favorite pants or sarong.
